Three materials, chosen by what the part has to do
Most specifications come down to three questions. Does the part need curves, pressed basins or integrated sinks? Does it need to look like stone? And how hard will it be used? The answers point to one of three solid surface materials and quartz we supply.
- Akrilika is 100% acrylic solid surface: 73 current colours in 12 mm sheets, joined with seamless joints and thermoformed into curves and basins.
- Apietra is a modified acrylic with 52 colours, many of them marble and stone looks. It costs about 20–30% less than Akrilika and is used for flat work.
- AQ Stone quartz is engineered quartz in 12 current colours, in 20 mm slabs of 3200 × 1600 mm, for flat tops that take hard daily wear.
Together the two acrylic lines give you 130 colours in the current collections.

Akrilika: the acrylic that bends and joins without visible seams
Akrilika is the one to specify when the drawing has curves, a basin moulded into the top, or a long run that must read as one piece. The sheet can be heated and bent, cast A101 basins are bonded to it without silicone, and scratches, chips and cracks can be repaired without visible traces. See Akrilika acrylic solid surface.
Apietra: stone looks at a lower price, on flat work
Apietra’s veined decors, such as M691 Calacatta Modica and M690 Carrara Lion, give a marble look with bonded joints. The trade-off is shape: Apietra is not thermoformable. Use it where every surface is flat. See Apietra.
Kristall translucent decors for backlit work
For bars, reception desks and light walls, translucent decors let LED light through the surface. Kristall is not a separate collection in the 2025 catalogues. Its decors now sit inside Apietra as MK codes, next to A404 Translucent White in the Akrilika range. See Kristall translucent.
New for 2026: five AR Italian-stone decors
AR550 Duomo, AR551 Palazzo, AR553 Tufo, AR555 Corso and AR556 Marmo are 100% acrylic and can be bent and thermoformed. They come on a longer 3680 × 760 mm sheet, and the veining runs along the length, so wide worktops and islands can be glued from several sheets. Browse them in the colour library.

Questions from specifiers
Which material should I specify for a vanity top with an integrated basin?
Akrilika. It is 100% acrylic, so it can be thermoformed and bonded to cast basins with colour-matched adhesive, without silicone. Apietra cannot be bent or pressed into radius basins, and quartz slabs are joined and fitted with separate basins. If the top is flat and the basin sits above or below it, Apietra and quartz are also options.
What is the difference between Akrilika and Apietra?
Akrilika is 100% acrylic solid surface with a 15-year limited warranty and full thermoforming. Apietra is a modified acrylic with a 10-year limited warranty. It is about 20–30% cheaper than Akrilika and has strong stone and marble looks, but it is for flat work only: no curves, no pressed basins and no integrated radius sinks.
Is Kristall a separate collection?
Not in the 2025 catalogues. Kristall-type translucent decors are now listed inside Apietra as MK codes, and some KA codes are still listed in a 2026 distributor catalogue. Akrilika A404 Translucent White is another backlit option. We confirm light transmission for each colour with a sample before you specify it.
Can I mix materials on one project?
Yes, and it is common. A typical split is Akrilika for vanity tops and wash troughs with integrated basins, Apietra for flat stone-look counters, and quartz for heavy-use flat worktops. Send the schedule and we will propose a material per item, with sample codes for each.
