Quartz surfaces for flat commercial tops
AQ Stone is the engineered quartz supplied alongside our acrylic solid surfaces. It is 92–95% natural quartz sand, 4–7% binder resins and about 1% pigments, pressed into 20 mm slabs. We supply it to projects that want quartz and acrylic from one source: quartz on the flat, heavy-use tops, and solid surface where the design needs curves or integrated basins.

The current range runs from AQ-009 to AQ-020. These codes come from the Alfa Quartz catalogue, which uses the same AQ numbering.

When quartz beats solid surface, and when it doesn’t
Choose quartz for flat worktops and vanity tops that take heavy daily use, where you want a hard, stone-like surface and the basin is a separate undermount or countertop unit.
Choose solid surface when the design needs:
- an integrated basin or a moulded sink;
- curves, which need thermoforming;
- long runs with seamless joints;
- repairs that leave no visible trace.

Care and warranty
AQ quartz carries a 15-year limited warranty. Clean it with a non-bleach, non-abrasive cleaner, use trivets to avoid thermal shock, and keep acids and solvents off the surface. Fabrication needs diamond tools with water feed.
