Solid surface fabrication turns a 3660 × 760 mm sheet into a part that fits: cut to size, formed where it needs to curve, bonded where it needs to be bigger than one sheet, and edged to the profile on your drawing. We organise this through our fabrication partners, who work to your drawings. You receive components rather than raw material.
What can be made
- Cut-to-size panels for cladding, shelving, window boards, trims and furniture parts, from 12 mm sheet or 6 mm A101 sheet.
- Thermoformed parts in Akrilika and AR: curved counter fronts, radius ends and pressed shapes. Apietra cannot be bent.
- Bonded assemblies larger than one sheet, such as long vanity tops, counters and troughs, joined with colour-matched adhesive and polished.
- Tops with basins bonded in without silicone, using cast A101 basins or bowls fabricated from the same sheet.
- Machined details such as cut-outs, tap holes, drainage grooves and routed shapes, made to your drawings by our fabrication partners.
Seamless joints and colour-matched adhesive
Parts are joined “without visible seams and gaps”, in the manufacturer’s words. Each colour code has its own recommended adhesive shade, listed in the manufacturer’s adhesive table. After bonding, the joint is sanded and polished with the rest of the surface. In veined decors the pattern breaks at every joint. We lay out the cuts so that joints fall away from the main view.

Solid surface thermoforming: what to show on the drawing
Mark the inside radius, the developed length of any curve, and which face is visible. Tell us the colour code early: thermoforming is only possible in Akrilika and AR. For a stone look on a curve, the AR veined colours are the answer, because Apietra stays flat.
Quartz
AQ Stone and Alfa quartz slabs (3050 × 1600 and 3200 × 1600 mm, 20 mm) are cut with diamond tools and water feed. They cannot be thermoformed.
Send your drawings with colour codes and quantities to our team. The warranty on fabricated work depends on the fabricator holding the Akrilika training certificate, so ask us to confirm it for the workshop on your job.
