Solid surface retail fit-out comes down to a few pieces that take the most wear in a store or office: the cash counter, display plinths, the reception desk and the tea point. Akrilika gives each of them a surface with seamless joints, colour through the full thickness, and damage that is sanded out in place. We supply fit-out contractors across Europe with sheets or with parts built to their drawings, and confirm the lead time with each quote so it fits the programme.
Shop counters and cash desks
A shop counter takes bags, keys and card terminals all day. In solid surface, the top, front and return are bonded into one piece with no visible joint, and scuffs are polished out between refits. Akrilika and the 2026 AR colours can be thermoformed, so curved counter ends are possible. Apietra costs about 20–30% less, but only for straight runs, because it cannot be bent.
Retail display surfaces and plinths
Plinths, shelves and display tables are cut from the same 12 mm sheet as the counter, so the colour matches across the store. For feature walls, Deco 3D panels come in nine relief designs, three of them in backlit versions. Translucent shades let light through for glowing plinths and lightboxes. See translucent colours.
For roll-outs across several stores, order each phase from one production batch, or order the full roll-out at once and store the sheets flat. Colour can vary between batches.
Office reception desks
The office reception desk sets the tone of the lobby. Built in solid surface, it can be curved, backlit, or cut with a transaction ledge and cable routes. For multi-tenant buildings, the same material works for the lobby desk, washroom vanity tops and window boards, so one colour code runs through the whole building. Office kitchen worktops and tea points
Tea points take kettles, coffee and wet cups. Test data for Akrilika:

For the sink, specify an acrylic cast or fabricated bowl. The warranty on our stainless-steel sinks excludes use in businesses and public places, so they are the wrong choice for a busy office. For acrylic sinks: run cold water before pouring boiling water, keep water below 115 °C, and never fit a food-waste disposer.
Working to a fit-out programme
Send drawings, quantities, colour codes, the delivery country and the site date. We confirm the lead time and delivery window with the quote. We do not publish standard lead times, because they depend on colour, quantity and fabrication. Order samples first. Colour under shop lighting is the one decision that is hard to change later.
