OEM buyers of solid surface want the same thing every time: the part that was approved, in the colour that was approved, on the delivery date agreed. akrilika.eu is the European representation of the Akrilika factory, so series orders go direct to the manufacturer rather than through a chain of resellers. We supply furniture makers, sanitaryware brands, washroom contractors and vehicle builders who need parts in series, with or without their own brand on them.
What a solid surface OEM manufacturer can supply in series
- Cast basins and sinks. Moulded A101 Glacier White models, such as m281, m283, m283L, m285L and m286 for washrooms and m201, ma806, ma807 and ma950 for kitchens. The bowl geometry is fixed, so every unit is the same.
- Fabricated sinks. The mk series, with R68 or square R9 corners, made from sheet in any Akrilika colour.
- Vanity tops and multi-basin tops. Built to one drawing per room type, with cast or integrated basins bonded in without silicone.
- Flat and formed components. Panels, shelves, trims and curved parts cut from 12 mm sheet, or from 6 mm A101 sheet where weight matters. Curved parts must be in Akrilika or AR, because Apietra cannot be thermoformed.
Private label and contract manufacturing
If you sell the part under your own name, tell us at the start what the product, packaging and paperwork must and must not show. We agree the labelling in writing before the first run. The manufacturer’s warranty terms still apply to the product: 15 years limited for Akrilika, 10 for Apietra. Fabrication by a firm holding the Akrilika training certificate, and indoor installation in heated rooms, are conditions of that warranty. Put them in your own product documentation.
From drawing to series
- Drawing and quantities. You send the part drawing, colour, annual volume and call-off pattern.
- Review. We check the drawing against sheet sizes (3660 × 760 mm, or 2440 × 760 mm for 6 mm), thermoforming limits and joint positions.
- First piece. A reference unit is made and approved against the drawing and a colour sample.
- Series. Production runs to the approved piece. Deliveries follow your call-off schedule.
Lead time and minimum quantities depend on the part and colour, and we confirm them on the quote.
Series production basins and colour consistency
The warranty terms are explicit: colour can vary between batches and within a batch. For an OEM programme this is the main risk, so we plan it:
- sheets for each call-off are ordered together, so they come from one batch where possible;
- agree in the contract that you are told when a call-off moves to a new batch;
- you keep an approved reference piece from each batch for incoming inspection.
Cast A101 basins may differ slightly from A101 sheet, because the two are produced at different times. If your product combines a cast basin with a sheet top, approve the pair together.
Weight for vehicle and marine builders
The 12 mm Akrilika sheet weighs 60–65 kg for 3660 × 760 mm, which works out at about 22 kg/m². The 6 mm A101 sheet weighs about 22 kg for 2440 × 760 mm, about 12 kg/m². For motorhome, caravan and boat interiors, the 6 mm white sheet is usually the place to start. The warranty excludes unheated and outdoor installations, so tell us the conditions the part will see in use.
