A 100% acrylic solid surface, specified by the sheet
Akrilika is the 100% acrylic solid surface from the Akrilika factory, supplied factory-direct to projects across Europe. It is a homogeneous sheet: the colour and pattern run through the full 12 mm, so the edge matches the face and a sanded repair looks the same as the surface around it.
The composition is about 70% natural minerals (aluminium trihydrate, ATH), acrylic resin (MMA) and colour pigments. That mix is what lets the material be worked with woodworking tools, bonded into one piece, and heated and bent.
Why the resin matters
“Solid surface” is used for several different materials. Some sheets use polyester or blended resins. Cast marble is a moulded part with a gel coat, not a sheet at all. A 100% acrylic sheet can be thermoformed into curves and pressed basins. When you compare offers, ask each supplier which resin their sheet uses. Cast A101 basins are bonded to the top with special adhesive, without silicone, so there is no gap between basin and worktop to clean around.

Sheets must be stored flat, on racks whose beams deflect less than 2 cm, or they will bow. For series orders and cut-to-size parts, see solid surface sheets and cut-to-size and fabrication.
Solid surface colours: 73 current codes plus five for 2026
The 2025 range has 73 colours: 55 A codes and 18 DA decors, which were once the separate Design collection. They cover three textures: solid, particles and veined.
- Solid colours, such as A101 Glacier White, hide joints best and suit healthcare and washroom work.
- Particle colours, such as A701 Platinum, hide daily wear on counters.
- Veined decors need planning. Choose the slab or batch before fabrication, and plan the cutting layout, because the pattern breaks at joints. The wood-look DA218 to DA222 decors have linear veining along the full sheet length, so they join more easily across the sheet width.
The five AR decors for 2026 are AR550 Duomo, AR551 Palazzo, AR553 Tufo, AR555 Corso (with sparkle) and AR556 Marmo. They draw on Italian stone. The veining runs along the sheet, which makes it easier to glue wide worktops such as kitchen islands. They can be bent and thermoformed like the rest of the range.

Tested by TÜV Rheinland and SGS
Akrilika was tested by TÜV Rheinland in 2015–2016 and by SGS-CSTC in 2016. The results include:
- Reaction to fire: Bfl-s1 to EN 13501-1 (TÜV Rheinland test report, 2015, A101), and Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS 476-7 (SGS).
- Food contact: sensory and migration testing to Regulation (EU) 1935/2004 and 10/2011 by TÜV Rheinland in 2016, plus metal-release testing to DIN EN 1388-1 by the National Institute of Public Health in Poland.
- Hygiene: a non-porous surface. The manufacturer states it does not support microbial growth when cleaned properly.

Warranty: 15 years, with clear conditions
Akrilika carries a 15-year limited warranty. It covers manufacturing defects, the physical and chemical properties, water-tightness, and freedom from cracks. It requires:
- fabrication by a firm holding the Akrilika training certificate;
- installation indoors, in heated rooms;
- normal use, with trivets and a cutting board.

Where Akrilika is specified
