Marble-effect solid surface for flat vanity tops, counters and walls
Apietra is the stone-look collection from the Akrilika factory. It is a modified acrylic solid surface: a sheet that is cut and bonded like solid surface, with particle, solid and veined decors, many of them marble and stone looks.
It suits specifiers who want the look of stone on a vanity top or counter, with bonded joints, on a design that has no curves.
What you gain: stone looks at about 20–30% less
The 2025 range has 52 colours in particle, solid and veined decors. Veined codes worth sampling for marble-effect work include M691 Calacatta Modica, M690 Carrara Lion, M648 Venato, M658 Travertine and M643 Sabbia.
The manufacturer prices Apietra at about 20–30% below Akrilika. On a hotel or office project with a long list of flat tops, that difference adds up.
What you give up: no thermoforming
Apietra is not thermoformable. Do not specify it for:
- curved or bent surfaces;
- pressed basins or sinks;
- integrated sinks with radius corners of about R70–80 mm.
Flat parts with bonded joints are fine. For a basin, specify an undermount or countertop basin. If one part of a design needs a curve, make that part in Akrilika and keep the rest in Apietra.
Veined solid surface: plan the joints
The sheet is 3660 × 760 × 12 mm and weighs 65–67 kg. Some veined decors come on a 3680 × 760 mm sheet. The pattern breaks at every joint, so:
- choose the slab or batch before cutting;
- draw the cutting layout with the veining direction marked;
- put joints at basins, corners or changes of direction.

In the dry-heat test, TÜV noted a yellowish discolouration at 140 °C and 180 °C on M601, so always use trivets under hot pans. Ask us for the Apietra reports, including fire, or see the technical data page.
Warranty and care
Apietra carries a 10-year limited warranty, with the same conditions as Akrilika: a certified fabricator and a heated indoor room. Daily care is a soft sponge and a household cleaner. The whole range is in the colour library, and samples are the fastest way to check a veined decor in real light.
